PRESS RELEASE: Warsaw Police Weekend Meth Arrests ADDITIONAL

ADDITIONAL WEEKEND METH ARRESTS:
On Friday, September 14, 2012 at approximately 8:33 p.m., Warsaw Police responded to the 2500 block of East Center Street for a complaint of a suspicious person behind Papa Johns Pizza. Warsaw Police located a female behind the business and identified her from previous contacts as Mandy M. Schultz. Ms. Schultz gave permission to search her belongings and several hypodermic needles and a cellophane wrapper containing a white powdery substance was located. Ms. Schultz stated that she uses the hypodermic needles inject drugs into her body to take away the pain. A field test kit showed the substance as Methamphetamine. Ms. Schultz told the officers that she was there to meet a Papa Johns employee who was on a delivery. The employee, Christopher E. Baldridge, returned while officers were still on scene and an external K9 search of the vehicle indicated the presence of illegal drugs. A search of blue 2000 Chevrolet S10 truck produced a substance in aluminum foil and several cotton balls, known to be commonly used with Methamphetamine. The substance and cotton balls were tested with field test kits and they all tested positive for Methamphetamine. Both suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Kosciusko County Jail on felony charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and misdemeanor charges of Possession of Paraphernalia. The suspects arrested are:
Mandy M. Schultz, (32), 1116 E. Market St., Warsaw, IN
Christopher E. Baldridge, (43), 227 N. Roosevelt St., Warsaw, IN
Warsaw Police continue to diligently work to reduce the influence of Methamphetamine in our community by being aggressive toward the use, manufacture and possession of this dangerous drug. Any drug tips can be called into the Warsaw Police Department at 574-372-9538.
