CDS ARREST GLEN BURNIE
On September 27, 2012, at approximately 11:55 a.m., detectives from Northern District’s TNT (Tactical Narcotics Team) and TPU (Team Police Unit) executed a narcotics search warrant at 108 Georgia Avenue NW in Glen Burnie.
Once inside the residence, explosive making materials and two explosive devices (pipe bombs) were discovered. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department and Annapolis City Bomb Squad were notified and responded to recover the explosive items. Detectives located and seized a suspected marijuana grow, suspected marijuana, CDS paraphernalia and three black powder pistols once the device was deemed safe and recovered by the Fire Department. At no time was the public at risk or in danger from this explosive device.
As a result of this operation, detectives seized 26 marijuana plants estimated at 1,211 inches with a total approximate street value of $18,165, approximately 523.46 grams of marijuana with a total approximate street value $5,235, CDS paraphernalia, explosive device manufacturing equipment, two explosive devices (pipe bombs) and three black powder pistols. One suspect was arrested and charged with Destructive Device Manufacture/Possess/Distribute (2 counts), Manufacturing CDS Marijuana, Possession With Intent to Distribute CDS Marijuana, CDS Possession Marijuana and CDS Possession of Paraphernalia (2 counts)
