While covering Cleona Borough, Annville Township Police were dispatched to the 1st block of North Washington Street in Cleona Borough for an EMS call. Before Officers arrived County Dispatch received calls that there were reports of "Gun Shots Fired" at the same location. Officers arrived in the area and made a tactical approach and confronted an adult male in the middle of the street. The male was place into custody and transported by EMS to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. The shots fired that were reported to Dispatch came from a "blank gun" which fires only "blanks".
Annville Township Police were assisted by North Lebanon Police, Pennsylvania State Police, Cleona Fire Department, First Aid and Safety Patrol and Cleona Borough Police.
