CROFTON
DRUG SEARCH WARRANT
On October 4, 2012, at approximately 9:30 p.m., detectives from the Western District Tactical Narcotics Team and Tactical Patrol Unit executed a search warrant at 1601 Airy Hill Court Unit A in Crofton.
Detectives received information that a resident at this address was involved in illegal drug distribution. Consequently, detectives conducted an investigation which led them to believe drugs were being stored in the residence. Detectives conducted a series of surveillance operations to identify a possible target. From there, a search warrant was obtained based on their observations, evidence collected and community complaints.
The suspect was identified as Michael A. Shepherd, 35, of the above address. Upon execution of the search warrant, officers recovered two handguns (one was stolen), approximately 370 grams of suspected marijuana with a street value of approximately $3,700, 7.9 grams of suspected crack cocaine with an approximate street value of $711 and several rounds of ammunition. Shepherd was arrested and charged with possession of CDS cocaine with the intent to distribute, possess of cocaine, possession of CDS marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, several handgun offenses and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
