On 10-06-2012 at approximately 8:50 AM Avondale Estates Police Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Fairfield Drive in reference to a theft from a vehicle. During investigation, officers determined that, on the previous evening between the hours of 8:00 pm and 8:30 am this date, an unidentified subject entered an unlocked vehicle at the residence and removed four financial transaction cards from a purse that was left in the vehicle. The perpetrator(s) then used the cards to purchase food and merchandise. The incident is under investigation, anyone with information in regards to this incident is encouraged to contact the Avondale Estates Police Departmnet. Citizens are reminded to remove personal articles from vehicles and to keep vehicles locked when not in use.
