October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month (http://www.staysafeonline.org/). This is a great reminder to ensure that your anti-virus and/or anti-malware applications and definitions are up to date. If you have an always-on Internet connection (cable or DSL), be sure that you have some sort of firewall running as well. And remember to pause and assess before you click (links, attachments, etc). Your computer will thank you.
