Winona Lake Police Officers responded to Stonehenge Country Club early Sunday morning to investigate a report of ATV’s driving on the golf course. Additional Officers from Warsaw Police Department and Kosciusko County Sheriff Department also responded.

Officers located the ATV’s on the golf course and a pursuit of the ATV’s initiated traveling South on County Road 275 East then West on Wilcox Road. Officers then lost sight of the ATV’s for a short time before the ATV’s were spotted on Packerton Road. Officers initiated a second pursuit of the ATV’s which traveled through yards and fields East of Packerton Road and South of County Road 225 South.

One suspect abandoned his ATV and fled on foot into a wooded area. K9 units from Kosciusko County Sheriff Department and Winona Lake Police tracked the suspect through the woods where he was located laying under bushes and taken into custody.

The second suspect was located a few hours later at his residence and taken into custody.

Damage estimate to Stonehenge Country Club and neighboring properties $4000-$8000.

Preliminary Charges: Felony Criminal Mischief, Felony Fleeing/Resisting Law Enforcement, Leaving the Scene of Property Damage Accident and Minor Consumption

Taylor Early, 19, Winona Lake
Preliminary Charge: Felony Fleeing/Resisting Law Enforcement

Investigation is still under review and additional charges may be requested.
