Residential Burglary on Fairfield Drive 
On 10/15/2012 at approximately 1:20 pm Avondale Estates Police Officers responded to a residential burglary in the 100 block of Fairfield Drive. The homeowner had arrived home at the time the perpetrators were observed leaving across the back yard of the residence. The perpetrators fled over a privacy fence into an adjoining apartment complex.
A Dekalb County Police tracking dog was brought to the scene, but the track was lost after the perpetrators left the south end of the complex into Forrest Hills. The perpetrators are described as one black female and one black male both late teens to early twenties in age.
Investigation revealed the method of entry was through an unsecured window on the side of the home near the garage. Items known to be taken are a laptop computer and some items of jewelry.
