Business Burglary Suspects Arrested (4) In Custody
On October 15th at approximately 12:05am West Monroe Police Officers responded to a burglar alarm that had been activated at a local business in the 500 block of North 7th Street.
Upon officers arrival they found that the business had been forcefully entered where the suspects had broken out the front glass window.
The business also utilized a video surveillance system which recorded the burglary and the suspects as they burglarized the business.
The four suspects were quickly identified and their information was broadcast to other officers in the area. Shortly afterwards the four suspects were located walking in an area close to the business and identified as; Marquarius D. York (18) of Monroe, Temarkus T. Scott (18) of Monroe, Rayshad A. Gilbert (19) of West Monroe and Zabiun J. Price (18) also of Monroe. All four suspects were taken into custody and transported to the West Monroe Police Department where they were interviewed.
Upon interviewing each of the four suspects each implicated the other in breaking into the business.
All four were booked into the West Monroe Correctional Center and charged with one count of simple burglary. Each was subsequently transferred to the Ouachita Parrish Correctional Center and held in lieu of bond.
