Alhambra Police Department & Alhambra Unified School District kick off Anti-Bullying Campaign on Monday, 10/22/12.
On Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11:30 am, The Alhambra Unified School District in partnership with the City of Alhambra Police Department will have a kick off rally promoting the district's new anti-bullying campaign.
The rally will take place on the front steps of Alhambra High School located at 101 South Second Street, Alhambra, CA. The anti-bullying campaign is part of the school district's Gateway to Success program and is titled, "Without You, Who Am I, as We All Have A Hand in Every Child's Success." Joining the district and the city will be corporate sponsor Mobile TREC and professional athletes from Sportz Partnerz. Scheduled to be in attendance is NFL hall of famer Warren Moon and Los Angeles Laker Jordan Hill.
The program will look to eradicate bullying by strengthening the bonds that tie schools and the community together. The athletes will deliver a message of compassion and understanding to help bring us to the truth that we all have a hand in every child's success. In addition to raising anti-bullying awareness, the campaign will raise funds for the Gateway to Success program through competitions held at the schools.
