ASSAULT/BURGLARY PASADENA
On October 16, 2012, at approximately 7:17 p.m., officers from Northern District responded to a residence in the 7800 block of Coutros Court in the Freetown Community of Pasadena for a report of an assault.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 37-year-old male victim, who reported that he exited his residence when two male suspects approached him and demanded his keys. The victim attempted to push his way past the suspects, but one suspect, who was in possession of a “stun gun” type weapon, used that weapon on the victim, causing him to fall to the ground. The victim grabbed his son, who was outside at the time and fled the scene on foot while the suspects entered the residence.
The victim did not observe the suspects exit the residence prior to police arriving on the scene. Officers set up a perimeter around the residence and awaited K-9 to arrive on the scene. Officers made entrance into the residence to search for suspects, who were no longer in the residence. The investigation revealed that some property was removed from the residence. A canvass of the area was conducted by the officers on scene, but the suspects were not located. Northern District Detectives were notified and responded to the scene to conduct interviews. At this time, it is unclear if this was a random or targeted incident. The investigation is ongoing.
Suspects: Two black males, wearing masks and sweatshirts with hoods
