INCIDENT TYPE: Notification of High Risk Sex Offender living in the community

Updated information – The South Burlington Police have learned that Earl Tatro legally changed his name to Calbraith Macleod. All official records have been modified to reflect his name as Calbraith Macleod, including the Vermont Sex Offender Registry.

The South Burlington Police Department was notified that Calbraith Macleod, aka Earl Tatro, is currently living in the City of South Burlington. Mr. Macleod is meeting his legal obligation of registering his address with the Vermont Sex Offender Registry. He is not wanted and has no restrictions regarding his residence.
This community notification is being made because the Department of Corrections has listed Mr. Macleod as a High Risk, Untreated Sex Offender. Mr. Macleod has multiple convictions for Sexual Assault and refused all treatment during his period of incarceration. He served his maximum sentence and is not under the supervision of the Department of Corrections.

Mr. Macleod is a white male, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 210 pounds, blue eyes and gray hair. He is 56 years old.

Mr. Macleod is legally registered as a sex offender with the State of Vermont. His information and photograph is available on the public sex offender registry at https://secure.vermont.gov/DPS/sor/agreement.php under the name of Calbraith Jesse Macleod.
