PRESS RELEASE: Sexual Battery arrest Fred Christian

Warsaw Police detectives have completed an investigation involving a Warsaw man causing unwanted sexual activity with an acquaintance. Fred Christian, age 53, of Warsaw was jailed early Friday morning by Warsaw police, after a criminal warrant was issued.
The sexual allegation involves a September report to police by a 51 year old woman. The woman states she went to the Christian home on S. Columbia Street in Warsaw to visit a friend, who was not there. While there, Fred Christian, who also lives in the home, confronted her, engaged in sexual touching, prevented her from leaving, and then eventually forced her to engage in intercourse. In an October interview with police, Christian admitted his involvement.
The arrest warrant from the Kosciusko County Prosecutors Office returned with one count of SEXUAL BATTERY, a class D felony.
Warsaw Police detectives were assisted in the investigation by the Kosciusko County Prosecutors Office.
