The Town of North Castle Office of Emergency Management encourages residents to sign up for the “Nixle” emergency notification service, which sends emergency weather, criminal activity and other alerts to your computers, tablets or smartphones. To subscribe (this is free), just go to https://local.nixle.com/register/ and enter the required information.
Nixle alerts will also be utilized to notify residents if Emergency Management has instructed North Castle Citizen Corps Council (NC4) to open a shelter or reception center for residents. NC4 is the volunteer organization charged under the Town’s Emergency Management Plan with providing sheltering and emergency preparedness services.
Please sign up for the Nixle notification service and encourage your friends and neighbors to do so. In the event a storm does strike us and you become aware of anyone in need of assistance, call the North Castle Police Department at 273-9500 or 911, depending on the circumstances.
