Warsaw Police arrest three after bar fight. On Saturday, October 27th at approximately 1:33 a.m., Warsaw Police and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to Susie’s Sand Bar located at 1360 W. Center Street in Warsaw in reference to a large fight in progress. Upon arriving, officers located two injured parties. The first was the owner, Susan Helms, age 51, of Warsaw, who had head, neck, and upper chest injuries which included cuts, an indentation to her forehead, and visible bruising that had already started. Her injuries were a result of her being grabbed by the throat and being thrown down, striking her head on the corner of a pool table, after she went to break up a small fight near the pool tables. A second female, Jamie Hizer, age 41, of Warsaw was still feeling pain to the side of her head after she too was attempting to calm the initial fight down when another female grabbed her by the hair and shoved her into a wall. Police determined that Shane F. Dawson, age 30, of Warsaw was responsible for grabbing and throwing Helms down, causing her to strike her head on the pool table. Latasha L. Roush, age 22, of Warsaw was found to be the party responsible for throwing Hizer into the wall. Both Helms and Hizer were treated at the scene by EMS. Shane Dawson was transported to the Kosciusko County Jail and charged with battery resulting a serious bodily injury, a class C felony. Latasha Roush was also transported to the Kosciusko County Jail and charged with class B misdemeanor battery. While at the scene, Warsaw Police also located Michael P. Eldridge, age 21, of Warsaw, who had two active warrants from Kosciusko County for battery resulting in bodily injury.
