Don't allow kids to trick or treat alone. Make sure they go in groups or with a trusted adult.

Use reflective tape on costumes so drivers will be sure to see your trick or treaters.

Bring a flashlight not only so you'll be able to see but so others will be able to see you. Use sidewalks if available.

Don't allow children to walk near lit candles or lanterns.
