Update on Power, Water and Ice, Halloween and Voting Location

POWER - JCP&L has 419 homes without power is Hightstown and 5047 without power in East Windsor. I have been told about 10 crews are working in our area.

Assessments in New Jersey show damage exceeds Hurricane Irene and October 2011 Snowstorm. Restoration for JCP&L customers likely to be longer than previous storms. The majority of customers are expected to be restored by Wednesday, November 7

Water and Ice - Distribution Center located in East Windsor Township at Fire Company II (Station 46) located at 69 Twin Rivers Drive. Water and ice is being provided by JCP&L to anyone in need. Open from 8 AM to 8 PM Saturday and Sunday. We also have a reception center to charge cell phones and laptop computers. Please share with everyone in need.

Halloween has been rescheduled for Monday, November 5, statewide per Executive Order 105 signed by Governor Chris Christie this afternoon, due to safety concerns of fallen trees, poles and wires. Hightstown and East Windsor Township joins the rescheduling of Halloween to November 5.

Hightstown - Voting Location Changed - The Hightstown voting location for Tuesday November 6th has been changed to the First Presbyterian Church: 318 N. Main Street in the Fellowship Hall.

East Windsor - Voting Location Changed - All Melvin H. Kreps Middle School polling places have been moved to the East Windsor Township Municipal Building, located at 16 Lanning Boulevard, since the Kreps School remains without power at this time. For questions about voting or polling place, call the East Windsor Clerk’s office at 443-4000, ext. 240.
