Jersey Central Power & Light is reporting that of the 1363 customers in West Amwell, 1061 are still with out power. This represents 79 % of the Township being with out power. They are estimating that an additional 195 customers will be restored on Monday November 5, another 177 on November 6, 199 restored on November 7, 154 on November 8. The final services will be restored after November 8.
Residents are reminded that any downed wire should be considered a hot wire, and potentially a dangerous wire. There has already been one death in Delaware Township, that is being attributed to possible carbon monoxide poisoning. If you have a generator, make sure that it is properly ventilated, and is properly hooked up. Never run a generator inside your house.
Remember: The polling places have been moved from the Municipal Building to the Firehouse in Mount Airy.
If you have had property damage, (downed trees are not included ) please advise us via email at [email protected]
We will attempt to update our residents on a daily basis until we are back in a normal state.
Thank You.
