The City of Pico Rivera will be opening the new Passons Boulevard Underpass to traffic on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
This is an advisory to let you know that the City of Pico Rivera will be opening the new Passons Boulevard Underpass to traffic on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 and permanently closing Serapis Avenue, north of Slauson Avenue on Wednesday, November 7, 2012.
As part of the Passons Boulevard Underpass Project, and in an effort to improve public safety, Serapis Avenue will be permanently closed at the Serapis Avenue at-grade railroad crossing. The new underpass will provide a safer and more attractive crossing for motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians.
The City’s first priority is the safety of the residents and business owners in Pico Rivera. We understand this closure will take some time to adjust.
For the convenience of those affected by the closure, directional signs will be installed to direct traffic around the permanent closure. A temporary bus stop and shuttle service will provide pedestrians at no cost a convenient alternative to walking around the closure.
