Newton Police report a new scam today, which was reported to the Newton Police Department. 
Sweepstakes Scam called by Mr. Washington at (801) 803-6002. Mr. Washington tells you to get a $500.00 refillable Green Dot card, and then give him the numbers on the card to facilitate the delivery of $2.5 Million Dollars and a new Mercedes that you have won.
Residents should know upon receiving these numbers Mr. Washington can activate the card and spend the $500.00 on the card.
Never agree to anything over the phone, and NEVER give personal information over the phone. If you don't know a number calling you, don't answer it.
