Stolen items listed on Craig's List result in arrest of two persons
Warsaw Police have arrested two persons associated with a break in to a nearly finished home under construction. A reported break in at 2533 Nature View Drive, in Harrison Ridge addition, Warsaw, was made on October 16th, 2012 by the owner/builder of Stonehill Homes, based out of New Carlisle, Indiana. Several new appliances were stolen from the home. Within a day after the break in, appliances matching the description were found listed for sale on Craig’s List, an internet social media sales site. The victim and Warsaw Police recovered the items at 3022 Deerfield Path, Warsaw, the next day. A subsequent search warrant was served at that residence.
Two persons associated with that theft and have been arrested. JUSTIN RAY TEEL, age 24, the owner of the home the appliances were located at (3022 Deerfield Path) and NATHANIEL V. JOHNSON, age 26, of Pierceton-who was present at the home and showed the items for sale. Both subjects were arrested on Thursday, November 8th at their homes and booked for felony charges of BURGLARY, THEFT, and POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY. Both were held on a $12,000 cash bond.
Warsaw Police and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office suspect that others may be involved in this matter, and continue to investigate.
