Checkpoint Leads to Arrest of Fugitive
A Checkpoint that was conducted in Lake Lure North Carolina by Lake Lure Police Department Corporal Scott Haynes and Officer Tyler Greene led to the arrest of Anthony Glenn Cox, age 54, who was currently residing at 126 Pebble Lane in Mill Spring, NC. Mr. Cox gave false information to the officers when he came through a Checkpoint which led to a thorough investigation by Officer Green and Corporal Haynes.
Mr. Anthony Cox was on the run as a Fugitive from the State of Alabama.
He was apprehended and taken to Rutherford County Detention Facility charged with Extradition/Fugitive from Other State, Fictitious Information to a Police Officer, Resisting a Public Officer, Possession of Stolen Goods, Driving while License Revoked and Operating a Vehicle with No Insurance. He is confined on a Secured Bond of $41,000.00
