Special Invitation: A+ Community Partners Matching Fair - Nov 20 from 4-7 p.m. at Lake Taylor HS
This is a special invitation from our partners in education! Please respond as you feel led.
Calling people who want to assist our schools: NPS, NEF and WHRO to host A+ Community Partners Matching Fair
If you are an individual, business leader or community member who wants to help our schools, but you don't know how to help, we've got great news for you.
Norfolk Public Schools, the Norfolk Education Foundation and WHRO, Hampton Roads' public broadcaster, are co-hosting an A+ Community Partners Matching Fair on Tuesday, November 20 from 4-7 p.m. at Lake Taylor High School, 1384 Kempsville Road.
The A+ Community Partner Matching Fair is an open-house format, and businesses, community organizations and individuals who want to help our schools can come to one place, meet representatives from each of our schools, learn about volunteer and partner needs, and sign up to help or to "adopt" a school.
The Fair is a one-stop opportunity for organizations and individuals to get connected and get involved with helping children.
As citizens, we all know that an investment in the education of our children is an investment in our community's future. Schools cannot do it alone. High-quality education is something our whole community must embrace and support, and we welcome people who want to get involved in our schools. The matching fair will help schools and community members connect.
Together, we can build a world-class school system and make a difference for children!
