Entering Auto Incidents 
On 11/21/2012 at approximately 0740 hours, the Avondale Estates took a report in reference to a theft from an automobile. The vehicle was parked at a residence in the 1000 block of Viscount Court the previous evening. When the owner went to the vehicle on this morning, he noticed that a backpack containing a 17" laptop had been removed. The victim stated the vehicle was apparently unlocked during the time of the theft.
Three other incidents were called in to police authorities in which unidentified subjects had gone through three vehicles, taking small amounts of coins and, in one instance, some soft drinks.
All incidents reported or responded to by the police department involved vehicles that were determined to be unlocked during these incidents. With the holiday season upon us, citizens are urged to remove valuables from their vehicles and lock the vehicle when it is not in use.
