The Palos Heights Police announce the arrest of an Ohio resident for the charges of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and Harmful Material, both felonies.

David H. SIx, 53, of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, was arrested on Monday, November 26, 2012 by Palos Heights Police Detectives outside of a hotel in Burr Ridge, Illinois, after a year long investigation into the relationship between Six and a Palos Heights youth under the age of 17.

A complaint was brought forth to the Palos Heights Police by the victim's mother in December of 2011, after the mother became aware of a possible inappropriate relationship between Six and her son. Detectives found that Six had made sexually explicit videos and images of himself and subsequently transmitted them to the victim. During the investigation Detectives learned that Six had traveled from Ohio to the Chicagoland area, on numerous occasions, and during these visits, Six and the victim had engaged in sexual activity.

The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Cook County States Attorney's Office , and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations Unit.

Six was brought to the 5th District courthouse on November 27, 2012, for a bond hearing.
