Menifee Police is releasing information about a recent crime/crime activity near your address.
On November 19, 2012, at 7 AM, staff members at the Miller Jones Mortuary, located at 26770 Murrieta Road in the city of Menifee, discovered a life-sized bronze statue had been stolen from the front of the building. Employees believe the theft occurred on Sunday evening November 18, 2012.
The statue is a life-sized depiction of a child climbing a tree to touch a bird. Additionally, a large bronze plaque was stolen from the location.
If you have information to report that could help lead to an arrest in this crime/crime activity, please contact police. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information regarding the theft is encouraged to call Investigator Guy Gilbert with the Riverside Sheriff's Department/Perris Station at (951) 210-1000.
