Warsaw Police respond to shooting 
On Monday, December 3rd, at approximately 4:37 p.m., Warsaw Police responded to a reported shooting at 1002 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw. Found at the scene was a 28 year old male, identified as Travis A. Perney, a resident there. He had suffered a gunshot wound to his head. Multi-Township EMS and Warsaw fire personnel did stabilize Mr. Perney and he was immediately transported to KCH and flown by Samaritan Air Ambulance to Parkview North Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, where he died in surgery.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that he had some current relationship issues and was despondent, and the shooting was self-inflicted. The Warsaw Police Department Detective Division continues to investigate the matter. The Allen County Coroner’s office is assisting in the investigation. After results of testing done at Parkview Hospital, a final ruling will be determined by investigators.
