Suspect charged with killing his girlfriend. 
At approximately 2:10 pm today Nash County Deputies responded to 7389 Cedar Grove School Loop Road, Nashville in reference to a possible homicide. Upon arrival Deputies found the suspect David Griffin Leonard s
tanding on a porch and the victim Leasa Smith inside. The victim had an apparent gunshot wound and Nash County Emergency Services responded and pronounced her deceased on the scene. The victim and suspect lived together at this residence and had a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. The suspect was arrested without incident and was charged with First Degree Murder; he is being held in the Nash County Jail with no bond and his first appearance in set for Thursday 12-6-12.
