On December 5, 2012 at approximately 4:40pm, Thurmont Police Officers investigated an attempted abduction which occurred in the 200 Blk. E. Main St. An eleven year female was walking east bound on E. Main St. when a small yellow/tan colored four door sedan, being driven by a male subject, pulled along the curb and ordered the female in car. The young female ran to a local business and the male subject drove away continuing east on E. Main St. The suspect was described as: white male, age late 30s, with a brown beard and wearing glasses. This investigation is continuing and anyone with information pertaining to this incident is encouraged to contact the Thurmont Police Department. The Thurmont Police Department offers a Tip Reward up to $1,000 for information leading to the conviction of criminals and the anonymous Tip Line number is: 301-271-0905 x 104.
