Two Homicide Suspects in Custody and One At Large
On December 5, 2012, at about 12:00 pm officers responded to a disturbance call at 9900 Bowman Blvd. Upon investigation, Oliva Arvizu L/F/11-8-79 was found deceased from blunt force trauma to the head at the location. Homicide was called to the location and initially took Ruth Barradas L/F/1-12-80 and Valentin Carus L/M/6-9-71 to police headquarters as witnesses. Upon interviewing them, it was found that they were the suspects in the homicide of Oliva Arvizu. Also, a third suspect in the offense is Angelica Cruz-Martinez L/F/2-2-84. Cruz-Martinez fled the location before officers arrived. The disturbance call that had came out was that of a male victim and arrestee Carus. There was a male victim who had also been attacked and was able to escape by jumping out of a window. During the investigation, detectives were able to find out that the suspect at large had befriended the two victims because of their financial status. The three suspect conspired , plotted, and pre-planned the robbery, abduction, and killing of the two victims. The three suspects are charged with Capital Murder. The case number for this offense is 301061-Z. Homicide detectives are actively seeking the whereabouts of suspect Angelica Cruz-Martinez who is pictured below.
