INJURED SUBJECT
SEVERN, MD
On December 6th, 2012, at approximately 12:30 a.m., members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department Western District responded to the 8000 block of Fair Breeze Drive, in Severn for a report of a sick or injured subject. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male lying on the ground. Fire Department personnel arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital, where he currently remains in critical condition.
The Anne Arundel County Police Criminal Investigation Division responded and initiated their investigation. Detectives interviewed witnesses and gathered evidence at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the victim’s injuries are still under investigation. Release of the victim’s identity is pending notification of family members.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was involved in a physical altercation with another male friend (suspect) when the injury occurred. That suspect has been interviewed as part of the investigation. Police are seeking additional information related to this incident. Charges will be determined at the completion of the criminal investigation, and consultation with the Office of the States Attorney. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
