Two citizen robberies in the Laurel area over the weekend...
CITIZEN ROBBERIES
LAUREL
On December 16, 2012, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers from the Western District responded to the 3300 block of Corridor Market Place in Laurel for a report of a citizen robbery.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the 24-year-old female victim, who relayed that she was walking on the parking lot when she was approached from behind by two male suspects. One of the suspects pushed her from behind with both hands, causing her to fall to the ground. A suspect then grabbed her purse and both suspects ran toward the rear of the parking lot. The victim did not sustain any injury from the incident. Numerous officers canvassed the area for the suspects, but were unable to locate them.
Suspects: Two black males wearing all dark clothing
On December 16, 2012, at approximately 8:54 p.m., officers from the Western District responded to the 100 block of Ertter Drive in Laurel for the robbery of a citizen.
Upon arrival, officers learned it was an attempted armed robbery of three citizens. The victims, a 16-year-old male, a 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old male, were standing in the hallway entrance of an apartment building when two suspects approached them and demanded that the victims hand over their property. One suspect was armed with a handgun and struck the 16-year-old male victim in the face with the handgun. The victims did not hand over any property and fled into the apartment building. The suspects immediately fled on foot east on Ertter Drive. Numerous patrol units and a K-9 unit searched the vicinity, but were unable to locate the suspects. The 16-year-old victim sustained minor injuries, which required treatment at an area hospital.
Suspect #1: Black male in his late teens, approximately 5’7”, 150 pounds with a light complexion, wearing a dark gray jacket with a white emblem over the left breast pocket, black pants, black gloves and a full, black ski mask with a hoody pulled over it
Suspect #2: Black male, approximately 5’9”, 150 pounds, wearing a black coat and a full, black ski mask with a black hoody pulled over it
