The latest computer forecast models show a potential for strong winds and heavy rain Thursday night through Friday afternoon.
A strong low pressure system near Texas is forecast to further intensify as it moves northeast toward the Eastern Great Lakes Friday morning. As a front extending southeast from this low approaches, another low pressure system is forecast to develop just west of the local area.

Winds - Strong southeast winds that could meet Wind Advisory criteria (sustained 31-39 mph or gusts 46-57 mph) will develop late Thursday night, weaken as the low moves across the area Friday morning, then shift from the southwest and could meet Wind Advisory criteria once again Friday afternoon.
Rain – A widespread 1 to 1 ½ inch rainfall is forecast Thursday night through early Friday.

Thunderstorms with Higher Winds – Isolated thunderstorms could cause damaging winds just ahead of the approaching cold front from west to east during the morning rush hour on Friday.
Weather conditions are forecast to gradually improve during our first day of Winter on Friday.
Prepare for an extended period of temperatures averaging near to slightly below normal starting Friday night.
