THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATION...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST SATURDAY. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
* ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 6 INCHES...WITH SOME AREAS POSSIBLY REACHING SLIGHTLY HIGHER AMOUNTS...PRIMARILY OVER PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...SOUTHERN ILLINOIS INTO SOUTHWEST INDIANA.
* TIMING...SNOW WILL BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES THIS EVENING IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND SOUTHERN ILLINOIS...THEN LATE THIS EVENING OVER SOUTHWEST INDIANA.
* MAIN IMPACT...TRAVEL CONDITIONS MAY BECOME HAZARDOUS AS SNOWFALL INCREASES INTO THE EVENING HOURS...AND WITH TEMPERATURES NEAR OR JUST BELOW DEGREES. ROADS MAY BECOME VERY SLICK AND SNOW COVERED.
