On January 9, 2013, Santa Rosa Junior College District Police Department Officers responded to medical aid call located at the Bertolini Student Center on the main SRJC campus. Upon arriving on scene, officers discovered through witness accounts that Robert S. Brewster, a 56 year old Santa Rosa resident, and the victim, whose name is not being released, were involved in a physical altercation.
The officers conducted an investigation and determined this was a domestic violence related incident. Brewster was arrested for causing injury to a domestic partner and for an outstanding warrant (parole violation). Brewster was booked into the Sonoma County Jail and is currently being held under his parole status.
The victim was transported to a hospital to receive medical care. The victim was found to have a warrant and was cited and released by the investigating officer.
