Pedestrian in motorized wheelchair was hit and killed by motorist at Sepulveda Blvd and Haynes St. 
On Saturday, January 19th, 2013, at approximately 5:50 P.M., a Traffic Collision vehicle vs. pedestrian occurred in the community of Van Nuys, California. A black 1987 Mercedes was traveling southbound on Sepulveda Boulevard, at Haynes Street, when it collided with a pedestrian in a motorized wheelchair traveling westbound Haynes Street in an unmarked crosswalk. The driver immediately stopped to assist the handicapped pedestrian. The driver has been identified as 50-year-old male resident of Los Angeles.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where she died from the injuries. Her name is being held pending next of kin notification.
