Community Alert - Solicitor Scam Alert

The Worth Police Department is reminding residents that Village Ordinance requires all solicitors to be registered in the village. If a solicitor comes to your home and they are not registered please dial 911 so an officer can be dispatched to investigate the activity.

Residents should be cautious when dealing with a solicitor. A common ruse used to obtain banking information is selling newspaper or magazine subscriptions.

The police department requests all suspicious activity be reported as soon as possible.
