CAMILLUS, NEW YORK – On January 24, 2013 at approximately 1338 hrs, Camillus Police Department Officers were dispatched to 218 Scott Ave in the Town of Camillus regarding a suicidal subject.
Preliminary investigation indicated that a white male approximately 30 years of age was in the residence and possibly armed with a weapon. After several unsuccessful attempts to make contact with the male, the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was notified and assisted in entering the residence and taking the male into custody without further incident.
The male was then transported to St. Josephs CPEP by the Camillus Police Department for a mental health evaluation.
