Subject: Severe Weather Potential for Wed. Jan 30
Hello NWS Spotters,
Just wanted to give you a quick heads up that there is the potential for isolated severe storms Wednesday afternoon and evening.
The main threat with any isolated strong to severe storms will be strong, straight line wind gusts of 60 mph or greater. There may also be the potential for isolated tornadoes.
Please be on the lookout for any hazardous weather tomorrow.
To report any hazardous weather and/or the associated damage, please be prepared to call us using the unlisted 800 number you received when you were trained.
Remember, we need your help with reports of the following:
- Measured or estimated winds of 58 mph or great, or 40 mph or greater over the water
- Funnel Clouds
- Tornadoes
- Damage due to wind
- Hail of any size
- Significant flooding (i.e., roads closed/impassible)
