The intersection of Orange and Moody is currently undergoing a road repair project, which operates between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. This project causes the intersection to be restricted to one lane in each direction, as well as the traffic control signals set to flashing red. Additionally, left-hand turns and U-turns are also temporarily prohibited during times of construction.

The Cypress Police Department would like to remind drivers to reduce their speed while driving through this construction zone and to observe and obey all posted traffic signs. Additionally, two crosswalk crossing guards will be posted at this intersection in the early afternoon hours to assist with pedestrian traffic. It is estimated that the repair project will be completed in approximately three weeks. Please contact Sergeant Healy of the Traffic Safety Bureau with any questions or concerns.
