Full Notification

On January 30th, 2013 the Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle with the passenger being DANNY LEWIS who had outstanding warrants. The vehicle stop was conducted based on information received about LEWIS being at a house on West Mount Drive. Following the traffic stop the Narcotics Division with the assistance of the Patrol Division went to 6164 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC. Consent to search the residence was given. During this time KURTIS PEREZ and CEATETA KWAME SUMLER were located in the wooded area beside the residence. Also information was provided and Investigators located 196 grams of Marijuana packaged for sale, a shotgun, a handgun and approximately 6 grams of powder Cocaine in the wooded area inside a tupperware container. Inside the residence additional Marijuana was located and paraphernalia. DANNY LEWIS who resides at the house was charged with Felony possession of Marijuana, PWISD Marijuana, Felony possession of Cocaine, Maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and Possession of firearm by felon. LEWIS' girlfriend (ROBIN HART) was charged with Felony possession of Cocaine, PWISD Marijuana, Maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and Possession of drug paraphernalia. KURTIS PEREZ was charged with Felony possession of Cocaine, PWISD Marijuana and Possession of drug paraphernalia. CEATETA SUMLER was charged with Felony possession of Cocaine and PWISD Marijuana.
