Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a female adult who was discovered at approximately 3:40 PM at a location in the 11000 block of South Alameda Street, (unincorporated) Willowbrook on January 31, 2013.

Detectives have learned that Century Sheriff's Station deputies responded to the location regarding a person needing medical attention. When deputies arrived, they discovered a female adult with gun shot wounds to the upper torso. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, the motive for the murder appears to be robbery. The victim has been identified as 56 year-old, Pasadena resident, Sun Hee, and is the co-owner of the convenience store where the crime occurred. She was also known to her customers as Silvia Cho.

There are no known witnesses to the crime and the surveillance system at the convenience store was found to be inoperable.

NARRATIVE:

Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a female adult who was working as a clerk in a convenience store located in the 11000 block of South Alameda Street, Lynwood.

Detectives have learned that the victim was shot multiple times in the upper torso during an apparent store robbery.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's identification will not be released due to notification to next of kin.
