The Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department is advising residents of several incidents that occurred on Colburn Drive, off of Spackenkill Road.

On the evening of Thursday January 31st a Colburn Drive resident reported that someone attempted to open their house door but was scared off by the resident.

Another resident of Colburn Drive returned home Tuesday February 5th to find that their home had been entered and items were missing from inside the residence. The incident was reported to have occurred during the late afternoon to early evening hours. A witness reports seeing a suspicious vehicle in the area, which was described as a “white station wagon” however there is no confirmation that this vehicle was involved.

Residents are urged to be cognizant and report any suspicious activity, vehicles or persons to the police department. Anyone who may have observed something suspicious regarding the above incidents is asked to contact the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department at 845-485-3600.
