SNOW IS DEVELOPING RAPIDLY FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS NORTHERN MICHIGAN THIS EVENING. SHORTLY AFTER THE SNOW BEGINS...EXPECT VISIBILITIES TO DROP TO LESS THAN 3 MILES AND ROADS TO BECOME SNOW COVERED. THE SNOW WILL CONTINUE FOR MUCH OF THE NIGHT...BUT ACCUMULATIONS THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING WILL GENERALLY BE ON THE LIGHT SIDE RANGING FROM 1 TO 3 INCHES. THE SNOW WILL LIKELY TAPER OFF FOR A
TIME THURSDAY MORNING...WITH EVEN SOME PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE POSSIBLE.
A STRONGER STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND THURSDAY NIGHT...BRINGING WIDESPREAD SNOW AND ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS. HEAVY SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THIS TIME...ESPECIALLY
SOUTH OF M-72 WHERE THE HIGHEST SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED.
