Warsaw Man Arrested on Class A Felony Drug Charges
February 7, 2013
Yesterday, Wednesday, February 6, 2013, a Warsaw man was arrested on class A felony manufacturing/dealing Methamphetamine charges after Warsaw Police served a drug search warrant following a short investigation. At approximately 6:00 p.m, Warsaw Police served the search warrant at 112 S. Scott Street, Apartment A, in Warsaw and located several active one-pot Methamphetamine labs, miscellaneous precursors to the manufacture of Methamphetamine, and an HCL generator inside the apartment.
Warsaw Police charged Foster M. Dutton, age 39, of the same address, with the A felony manufacturing/dealing Methamphetamine, and a class C felony possession of precursors to the manufacture of Methamphetamine. The charges were enhanced due to the proximity of the apartment to several city parks, and Lakeview Middle School. Dutton’s bond was set at $20,000. Two teenage children were at the apartment and their care was turned over to the Indiana Department of Child Services.
The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team was called to assist Warsaw Police with the clean-up. The investigation is still on-going and more arrests are possible. Warsaw Police was assisted by the Indiana State Police and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office.
Warsaw Police continue to diligently work to reduce the influence of Methamphetamine in our community by being aggressive toward the use, manufacture and possession of this dangerous drug. Any drug tips can be called into the Warsaw Police Department at 574-372-9538.
