With the impending Winter Nor'easter, Please keep the following tips in mind:
*Make sure your vehicle is in top condition. This includes checking tires, brakes, battery, windshield wipers, lights, and oil.
*Be aware of potentially icy spots on bridges and overpasses.
*Keep a safe distance behind the vehicle in front of you.
*Do not pass a snowplow or spreader unless absolutely necessary.
*Move parked vehicles off the street to allow for unimpeded plowing.

***PLEASE STAY OFF THE ROADS AND HIGHWAYS UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY, ESPECIALLY IF WHITE-OUT CONDITIONS EXIST***
Allow the State, County, and Town workers to clear the roads safely.

Finally, reserve calls to 911 during the storm for EMERGENCIES ONLY to prevent needlessly endangering the safety of police, fire, and rescue personnel.
