Siren at Woodland Center Correctional Facility on M-36 in Green Oak Twp 
The Woodland Center Correctional Facility, located on M-36 between Lemen Road and Whitmore Lake Road in Green Oak Township, now has a functioning siren which may be able to be heard by residents in the southeastern portion of Hamburg Township. The siren could be used for facility training mobilization, inspection of the siren or actual facility mobilization. In the event that the siren is activated for a situation which could affect public safety, Woodland Center staff will contact local businesses and residents and the Hamburg Township Police Department will also send out alerts.
The next scheduled testing of the siren is scheduled for Friday, February 15, 2013 at 9:00am.
