Attempted Sexual Assault Near the Ainsley House 
On Friday, February 8, 2013, at approximately 4:00 pm an attempted sexual assault on a 17 year old occurred near the Ainsley House in Campbell. The victim was walking to the Campbell Library when the unknown suspect came up from behind and assaulted her. The victim struggled with the suspect, and was able to free herself. The suspect then ran toward Central Avenue.
The suspect is described as a white or light skinned Hispanic male between 35 and 40 years old. He is approximately 5'8" tall and 180 pounds, with buzz cut hair. The suspect was wearing a gray hooded jacket and baggy pants with numerous pockets.
The Campbell Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding the assault or the identification of the suspect to contact the Investigations Division at 408-871-5190.
