THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PADUCAH HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR A PERIOD OF LIGHT SLEET OR FREEZING RAIN...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 3 PM CST THURSDAY.
* A LIGHT WINTRY MIX OF SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE EARLY THURSDAY MORNING AROUND THE TIME OF THE MORNING COMMUTE.
THERE IS SOME POSSIBILITY THAT THE PRECIPITATION WILL HOLD OFF UNTIL SURFACE TEMPERATURES RISE ABOVE FREEZING DURING FROM MID MORNING TO EARLY AFTERNOON.
* IF INDEED PRECIPITATION BEGINS AROUND THE TIME OF THE MORNING COMMUTE...MOTORISTS SHOULD USE EXTRA CAUTION AND BE AWARE THAT A THIN LAYER OF ICE MAY BE PRESENT ON SOME ROADWAYS...ESPECIALLY ELEVATED ROADS AND SECONDARY STREETS.
