The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a dense fog
advisory... which is in effect until 10 PM EST this evening.
* Locations: Jenkins... Screven... Candler and Bulloch counties.
* Hazards: dense fog with visibilities 1/4 mile or less.
* Timing: visibilities are expected to improve by 10 PM as rain moves in from the southwest.
* Impacts: low visibilities will make for difficult driving conditions.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to one quarter mile or less. If driving... slow down... use
your low beam headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of
you in case a sudden stop is needed.
